History of Aaron Joseph
Aaron Joseph, LLC was founded in 2019 by Joseph F. Kikta. However, the Aaron Joseph name has a much longer history. In 1999, Joseph founded Aaron Joseph Jewelers in Tallahassee, Florida. In 2008, he added The Tallahassee Gold & Silver Exchange to the companies held by then Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC. In 2010 having had experience in the auction industry, Joseph decided to add auction services to the business model. In 2011, Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC began conducting auctions. Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC set out to provide the highest quality auction services team in the North Florida area. With its professional team and its association with other auctioneers throughout the country, Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC handled a large variety of specialized auctions, including: business liquidations, equipment auctions, inventory reduction auctions, retirement auctions, bankruptcy auctions, estate liquidations, and collectible auctions. Joseph handled real estate auctions through Aaron Joseph Realty.
Joseph was keenly aware that the auction industry has changed drastically since the 1980s. The world has gone high-tech, and it was time for the auction industry to do so as well. After listening to well-established and respected colleagues in the industry speak of dwindling auction audiences, and the rise of online auction sales by companies that offered little or no actual service to their clients, other than an online bidding platform, Joseph knew that his companies needed to offer the services provided by traditional auctioneers with an online component added. In 2013 Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC began offering these services to governmental entities, banks, businesses, recovery companies, and other auction businesses and auctioneers, under the Global Auction Services name. Global Auction Services quickly began to grow, especially in the area of government surplus throughout Florida and Georgia.
In 2015, Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC accepted a consulting contract to open a prestigious auction gallery in the metropolitan Washington, DC area of Northern Virginia. This auction gallery specialized in works of art, antiques, jewelry, time pieces, collectibles, and Asian antiques and antiquities.
In 2016, Joseph sold its Florida operation and governmental contracts in Florida and Georgia to the newly established Bidilla, Inc. At that point, Aaron Joseph & Company, LLC was closed. Since that time, Joseph helped with the management of the newly established Bidilla, Inc., and is still occasionally called upon as a consultant for them today.
